September 10-12, 2010 970 US Highway 211 W Luray, VA The event is located at Luray Caverns, Virginia on 200 acres of land (the same site as last years “Third Winchester” event). The event is open to all branches of service. There will be a bounty for the first 4 full scale Artillery pieces and the first 30 mounted Cavalry per side. This reenactment is planned as a 2010 major mid level event. All profits form this event will go to The Shenandoah Valley Battlefield Foundation. The two battles will be Front Royal 1862 and Fishers Hill 1864. Provided will be hay, water, firewood, port-a-johns and a Saturday evening dance. All participants in period attire will receive a 50% discount on admission to the caverns. Registration fee $10.00 till June 15, late registration $15.00 till August 31, $20.00 walk-ons. The site will open noon on Thursday, Sept. 9th for Friday, Sept. 10th school day, so plan to come early and help educate our future.
